Rally for the Right to Know Act
We Demand Transparency & Accountability
Thursday, April 21
City Hall Park
On April 21, Noon at City Hall Park, join us along with Communities United for Police Reform and New Yorkers from across the city to support critical police reform and demand that the City Council pass the Right to Know Act police reforms. The Right to Know Act would help end abusive policing by protecting New Yorkers’ rights against unconstitutional searches and abusive police encounters. It’s been too long since we’ve seen true police reforms in NYC and these are critical to improve safety and justice in our neighborhoods by ensuring police encounters are more accountable and transparent to communities.
The Right to Know Act has sponsorship from a majority of NYC Council members and is supported by our organization and dozens of other groups representing communities across NYC. With the votes to pass, it’s time for action and we need to show City Hall how urgent the Right to Know Act is for our communities. Come out on April 21 at Noon at City Hall Park with other New Yorkers to show your representatives at City Hall that you support them taking action to pass these important reforms for New Yorkers. THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW!
